Autodesk AutoCAD 2015 - New Commands and System Variables


Hello everybody… With each release of AutoCAD, Autodesk introduce new commands and new system variables, here are the ones introduced with Autodesk AutoCAD 2015…

Captures a portion of the online map to an object known as a map image, and embeds it in the drawing area.

Displays the Point Cloud Color Map dialog box, used to define settings for Intensity, Elevation, and Classification point cloud stylizations.

How to modify the AutoCAD DWG Launcher…

Hi everybody… I had a couple of people asking this question the last couple of days… “Even though I installed AutoCAD 2015, when I double click on a drawing it always opens in AutoCAD 2014 … How do I fix this?”  The problem is that for one reason or another the AutoCAD DWG Launcher is set up to work in this case with AutoCAD 2014.  Here is what you need to do the make it work:  First please check that the DWG files are associated with the AutoCAD DWG Launcher.  Select a drawing -> Right click -> Go to Properties Go to the Registry Editor (Start -> RUN -> regedit )  Look for the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\DwgCommon\shellex\apps\{F29F85E0-4FF9-1068-AB91-08002B27B3D9}:AutoCAD Select the OpenLaunch key (right click -> Modify…) and change the software version to the correct one as this image shows...
